The first cohort of recipients for the Crossland College of Technology (CCOT) Enterprise Scholarship was officially recognized during a signing ceremony held Thursday at the Franklin Technology Center in Joplin, Missouri. Nine students put pen to paper, marking the beginning of their fully funded academic journey.
Each of the selected students will receive a full scholarship to attend Pittsburg State University, where they will pursue a major in a technology-related field at CCOT. The ceremony celebrated not only the students’ academic achievements but also the launch of a program designed to cultivate the next generation of skilled professionals in the technology sector.
The event brought together educators, family members, and local community leaders to honor the recipients. For many of the students, the scholarship represents a significant financial relief and a clear pathway to a four-year degree without the burden of tuition costs. The Enterprise Scholarship aims to attract top talent from the region, ensuring that promising students have the opportunity to develop expertise in high-demand technical disciplines. As the first group to sign on the line, these nine individuals are setting a precedent for future classes, embodying the potential of targeted educational investment.
