Futurum Group has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Aptiviti Inc., the parent company behind Enterprise Technology Research (ETR). The deal aims to merge ETR's institutional-grade data on technology spending with Futurum's existing research, advisory, and intelligence capabilities.
The acquisition is expected to expand Futurum's predictive technology intelligence platform by adding ETR's large-scale survey data and spending intent signals. ETR is known for tracking enterprise IT buying patterns, providing a look at where budgets are flowing and which vendors are gaining or losing ground. By combining that data with Futurum's analyst-led research and strategic advisory services, the company hopes to offer clients a more complete picture of the technology landscape.
Futurum Group has been building out its research and advisory offerings over the past few years, positioning itself as a competitor to larger firms in the space. This deal marks a significant step in that direction, giving it direct access to a proprietary data set that many enterprises and vendors already rely on for planning and benchmarking.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close in the coming weeks, subject to customary closing conditions.
