Georgian Court University has launched a new Master of Science in Nursing degree focused on informatics, innovation, and technology. The fully online graduate program is designed to prepare registered nurses for leadership roles in healthcare's ongoing digital transformation.
The curriculum combines nursing science with data management, health information systems, and emerging technologies. Students will learn to analyze clinical data, implement electronic health record systems, and drive process improvements that enhance patient outcomes. The program aims to fill a critical gap in the healthcare workforce, where demand continues to grow for professionals who can bridge the gap between clinical care and technology.
Coursework covers topics such as data analytics, project management, cybersecurity in healthcare, and the ethical use of artificial intelligence in clinical settings. Graduates will be equipped for roles like nursing informatics specialist, clinical systems analyst, and health IT project manager.
The university designed the program with working nurses in mind, offering flexible online delivery and the option to complete the degree on a part-time or full-time basis. Faculty include experienced nurse informaticists and healthcare technology leaders.
This new degree adds to Georgian Court's existing graduate nursing offerings, which include family nurse practitioner and nursing education tracks. The university expects the first cohort of students to begin classes in the upcoming fall semester.
