InfoComm 2026: Renkus-Heinz Unveils RH4D Beam Steering Technology

Renkus-Heinz has introduced its latest advancement in audio technology at InfoComm 2026, showcasing the new RH4D platform. The system represents a significant step forward for beam steering and sound reinforcement in complex acoustic environments.

The RH4D technology builds on the company's long history of digital beam steering solutions but adds a fourth dimension of control. Unlike traditional systems that manage vertical and horizontal dispersion, RH4D introduces dynamic depth control. This allows sound engineers to shape audio coverage in three-dimensional space with greater precision than before.

According to the company, the new platform uses advanced algorithms and a redesigned driver array to achieve cleaner, more focused audio even in challenging rooms with reflective surfaces or irregular shapes. The system automatically adjusts beam patterns in real time based on the venue's acoustics and the position of the audience.

Renkus-Heinz demonstrated the technology with a live setup that let attendees hear the difference between standard beam steering and the new RH4D approach. The demo highlighted how the system can direct sound to specific seating zones while reducing spill into unwanted areas.

The company expects the RH4D platform to be available for integration into new loudspeaker models later this year. Pricing and full specifications have not been announced yet, but early reactions from audio professionals at the show have been positive. Many noted the potential for improved clarity in houses of worship, performing arts centers, and corporate event spaces where acoustics are often less than ideal.
